Sketchup has immense potential for design work
If you come for this introductory meeting, you will be inspired to design anything, including your Tiny House. Everyone who attends this meeting will leave knowing 9 basic drawing tools. These tools will be all you need to design your tiny house:

Draw: lines, type in measurements, Push/Pull tool
Zoom, Pan, Orbit
Measure: must follow axis, delete grid lines
Group: demonstrate how wacky it can become without Group
Component: demonstrate no group/no component vs. group vs. component
Copy: Move + Option key: “6X” , “6X/”
Rotate: 1. Choose plane 2. Center of pivot 3. Outside of arc (type in degrees of arc)
4. Final resting place (Lock a face: click, shift/hold to keep chosen plane)

You can watch these vides at home in preparation. We will also watch them again in our meeting to be sure you know how to work with the tools.
In the end, we will ask a couple of volunteers who are beginners to demonstrate how to draw a 2 by 4 , move, and copy it.
Hope to see you there!
