Build Day: Sienna's Back in Action

Update 07/15/2014: This meetup has been rescheduled to Saturday the 19th. Please see the message from Sienna in the comments below. - Alyx

Alright, we're building again!

Sienna's back at work on her tiny house build, which you can see many photos of from past meetups. She'd love to have about 5 additional peeps come help this coming Sunday, from 11 to 5. The address is above. (Note: Please don't bother the people in the house; we work in their yard to the left, which has its own large wooden gate.)

On the agenda:
- Put in the three remaining windows on the front
- Finish painting the eaves
- Begin work on the wheel wells (I'm told George has an idea how to approach this)

Stuff to bring:
- A water bottle!
- A palatable liquid inside that bottle!
- If anyone(s) has a ladder or two they could bring that'd be super helpful.
- If you can, bring a hammer so you'll have your own.
- Lunch is on the (tiny) house but if you have special dietary considerations that preclude the nearby (Famous!) Red Onion burger joint or the taco truck maybe bring some food.

That about covers it. This is a small event that will probably fill quickly, but I'm psyched that we're having active build days again. If it's full please go ahead and add yourself to the wait list so we can gauge interest in future events. Hopefully more of us will begin our own building projects in the near future, opening the door to lots more hands-on participation for all. -Alyx

We did some priming and installed the three bump-out windows. Aren't they pretty?

I regret that I have had to change the day of the meetup to Saturday instead. If you don't have a problem changing to Saturday, that's great! Otherwise, please cancel your RSVP. I apologize for my mistake. If you've been to a meetup at my tiny house in the past and would like to come, please do anyway, even if you're wait listed. Thank you.

Btw, if you RSVP please mention here if you have a ladder you can bring. Otherwise Sienna might be buyin' more beforehand.

The internets say you can also throw in this 20% off coupon. :D I'm kinda tempted myself.

Ah man why is list so small?

I hear ya. The number isn't higher because it takes energy and effort from the project runner to effectively coordinate volunteers. The number for a given day is also dictated by the task(s) at hand. This time Sienna felt a ~6-person crew was appropriate.

If I'm able to attend [due to my sched] I'll bring a 6' ladder and a hammer.
