Were the state has authority to do this?
Not there, cancel the meeting, end of story.

Just thought I'd throw that bone out there.

Support Texas Raw Milk &

Permit Fee Bills

Committee Hearing this Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Dr Tennant simply wants to share this important news with you about two important bills that will have a hearing before the Texas House Public Health Committe this Wednesday.

The first bill, HB 46, would allow licensed dairy farmers to sell raw milk at farmers' market and fairs, as well as do home delivery and make other delivery arrangements iwth their customers.  While raw milk is legal in Texas already, the current law requires consumers to drive to teh farm every time they want to buy raw milk, imposing hardship on consumers and unfairly restricting small farmers from marketing their product.

The second bill, HB 910, would cap the permit fees that could be imposed on farmers and farmers' market vendors to $50 per year per county or city.

You Can Help and Make a Difference

Download the complete email alert Dr. Tennant is sharing with you by clicking here.  This outlines the various ways you can help, even if you are not able to be at the Texas Capitol for the hearing.

Thanks so much!
