Tabletop Tuesdays at Durty Nellie's

Tabletop gaming, fun movies, craft beer, and great people! Tabletop Tuesdays is a weekly event held at Durty Nellie's West Irish Pub in Palatine, right off of the Metra (Pacific Northwest).

We play all sorts of different games. Some of the popular titles include Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Lords of Waterdeep, Iliad, Legendary, The Resistance, King of Tokyo, and SO many others. There are usually over 50 games there and we generally have from 25 to 40 gamers attending each time!

We play from 7:00PM all the way until 3:00AM. Can't make it early in the evening? Show up late! Many of our members do exactly that. Durty Nellie's serves food until 10:00PM, offers a late night food menu until 2:00AM, and has a MASSIVE craft beer selection (over 25 taps and over 100 bottles).

Plenty of parking available - free parking in the garage after 5:00PM.

Feel free to come by, grab a pint, rolls some dice / play some cards / collect some cubes, watch some flicks, and meet-up with some fantastic other people!

If you're a member of Chicago Game Lovers as well; be sure to RSVP to the meetup there as well so we can tell the members there how much fun we have!

They have an expansion which introduces new suspects/characters, a standalone game set in New York City, and a portable mini game called Mr. Jack Pocket. I will hopefully be getting the rest of those SOON!

Fantastic turnout! We hit a peak of 55 by the end of the night, which resolved in two waves - the initial 35 people and an additional 20 later in the night. I love the fact that we were getting everyone into a game almost right away when they walked in. The perk of having SO many people show up is running so many games simultaneously - games are constantly turning over so it's easy to get seated at a table with a game you WANT to play.

I sat down and played Caverna with two first timers (Andrew and Ken) which was a total blast. Never having played Agricola, I had a lot to learn as we played, but it was great. We had all sorts of first time games for the event last night; it was the first time at Tabletop Tuesday that we've busted out Cheaty Mages, Caverna, Coal Baron, and there may have been other firsts. I love seeing new games hit the table as often as the community favorites! Thanks to everyone that showed up. I hope to see you either next week, Saturday the 5th, or BOTH!

First off; I said "games" a whole lot up there... almost to an annoying extent hahaha

Secondly; Ultimate Werewolf got a bunch of plays and that was a first time game for Tabletop Tuesdays as well!

Nice to meet some of you... Thanks Ken and Kevin for the brain-burning game of Caverna. Next time I wont be such a pushover. Saw some great games being played!

That game was something else. We never did bust out Quantum - maybe next week? Most of the games I played yesterday were long and mentally taxing, it'll be refreshing to something like that!

As usual, will set up 1812, an easy game for 5.

This will be my first visit and cant wait to meet the group. Need to play a game to review: (Quantum from Fun Forge/Passport games) - otherwise I'll join in where I can!

Anyone want to try Quantum? (2 - 4 players) What's anyone else playing?
