Hi Everyone,

Hope you are enjoying nice fall weather! Shimane is definitely one of my favorite travel destinations for its history and beauty as well as the food and sake. I hope many people get to taste a bit of Shimane on October 12.

Here is a chance for other Sake Meetup members to experience the wonderful sake, culture and traditions from this far-Western part of Honshu that go all the way to early Japanese mythology. Please join us for this very special Shimane sake tasting event on Monday, October 12th starting at at 4:00 p.m. I will be there from around 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. or so. I have reserved some tickets for the Tokyo Sake Meetup members for the event and hope many of you can join us.

It was great to meet everyone at the event. I really enjoyed to chat about sake, also surprised to see how small the world is! Thanks everyone!
    •  Terrific chance to compare various kinds of sake. My question: just what is the difference between a daiginjo junmaishu and a tokubetsu daiginjo junmaishu. Great to see all the Shimane people again. The event was really crowded, but by taking it easy and taking time to get to know each table, and talk to various people, it was a very pleasant time. Highly recommended.
    •  It was such a great chance to be able to try a wide variety of sake, and fun people! Thank you Etsuko san.
