http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2121+Old+Reedy+Creek+Road,+Raleigh,+NC&hl=en&ll=35.836611,-78.779569&spn=0.00521,0.01236&sll=35.83842,-78.780845&sspn=0.00521,0.01236&safe=strict&...

Type of ride: All skills, no drop

Speed: expect to average about 5mph, depending on the group. No one will be dropped.

Distance: between 7-10 miles

Time spent riding: 1.5 - 2 hours (longer depending on the group)

Difficulty: Lake Crabtree is one of the easiest trails to ride with ride arounds for all obstacles.

Details: No-drop ride for ALL Skill Levels / Riders. Looking for a nice, slow, low-pressure group
ride as you work your way back into shape after a layoff, or as you get started with MTB'ing?
Here ya go.. We'll meet at the Old Reedy Creek Rd. entrance, by the bench, Saturday mornings at 10:30am. We'll ride a big chunk of the LCCP trails, depending on how people feel. No one will be left behind (not for long anyway), we'll stop and rest as often as people need, and generally have a good time, get some exercise, and enjoy ourselves.

Weather permitting, of course.

Call or email Phil at[masked] or [masked] for more details or if you have
trouble finding us. I'll be the guy in a blue Ford Expedition, riding a brown Specialized Hard Rock.

Lake Crabtree County Park is a great location for rides. Expect easy to slightly moderate elevation changes. All trail obstacles have ride a rounds. Pace will be dependent on the experience and skill levels of the attendees, but I'm expecting an average speed of probably 5mph or so.

You MUST wear a helmet while riding on the trails. Make sure you have plenty of water.

Great ride this morning with Eric, Jeff, Heather and Anne. Enjoyed the on trail chats, with some sleet from Mother Nature and Eric brought snacks to share :-)

Nice ride, perfect for me, I do not ride much, not too advanced but challenging enough to be interesting. Primitive trail virtually without technical obstacles. Nice folks too.

I'm so glad I caught up with you guys... This was my first time off road and it was so much fun. Thanks for stopping when I yelled for a break to catch my breath... the up hills were a bit of a challenge on this first ride. Can't wait for the next 1 that I can attend.

Finally made it. I'll attempt to come around the opposite direction I'm on a green bike silver helmet. I don't know if I'll be able to figure out the way though I'll try

I'll follow. If "sweep" means sweep up the stragglers, then please bring a broom... and patience. I'm going to get a helmet today. Any other items that I need to pick up?
