TORC - Ride Like A Girl 2013 - Women's Only (All Skills) Ride

Women's only all skills mountain bike ride. Helmets are required but experience isn't! MEET at the intersection of Old Reedy Creek and Black Creek Greenway- if the Crabtree trails are closed, we will do an Umstead ride.

Meet time:  5:45pm

Ride starts at: 6:00pm

NOTE: If it is raining, ride is cancelled.

Directions: I-40 exit 287, turn onto Weston Parkway, right turn onto Old Reedy Creek rd, park past the little 1-way bridge and meet at the bench that is on the end of the greenway. There is a sign there that says whether the Crabtree trails are closed or open.

Ride Like a Girl @ Lake Crabtree every Tuesday night at 6pm.  Riders should meet at the very last parking lot on the right at 5:45 and be ready to ride at 6:00pm. We will divide up into beginner and intermediate groups.

Our ride coordinators this year are Trina Cook and Sarwat Khattak.

If you would like to lead or sweep, please contact Sarwat or Trina.

Meet location:  Bench at end of Black Creek Greenway

All women are invited to join these rides regardless of skill, speed or fitness.  Ride will divide up into groups as necessary depending on who attends.

For this ride, beginner truly means beginner.  If you have never been on singletrack, join the fun and ride in a no pressure, no drop group. Beginner riders should expect 1-4 mph rides that will last any where between .5-1.5 hours depending on the group.  Distance will be 1-4 miles.

Intermediate and above riders should plan their rides according to the ride leader and group.

Trail description:  Trails are easy to moderate.  Smooth flowy trails with slight up hill and down hill grades.  All features have ride-arounds.  You MUST wear a helmet.  Bring plenty of water.

I see that the trail is closed according to triangle mtb. Any chance it will open by tonight, or is the ride off?

The ride is ON: We are going to meet the intersection of the Black Creek greenway and Old Reedy Creek Rd, if Crabtree is still closed at that time, we'll do a loop around Umstead.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
