Details

Meet time: 5:15

We roll out of the parking lot at 5:30.

The Mad Skillz ride focuses on bike handling skills, endurance, and bike speed. Some, but not all, of the riders will be preparing for MTB junior races this spring and summer. We will ride the singletrack of Briar Chapel.

These are standing rides occur each week through the end of school. All rides are open to kids from late elementary school through high school age. Our focus will be having fun while practicing bike handling and building fitness. The rides are run by volunteer coaches with cycling skills. We're associated with Team HammerCross youth cycling team, but it is not required nor expected that kids participate in racing.

As you might imagine, these are no-drop rides and we will accommodate various skill levels, though some experience riding on trails is helpful.

This ride will be about an hour to hour and a half, getting back around 6:45 +/-. Parents are welcome to join us. It goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway: Helmets required. Water bottles good to have as the weather heats up.

We will be asking that parents complete waivers for kids that will be riding with us: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByXAvbXc7kiPbWRQQjJKVzF1WGs/view?usp=sharing
