Type of ride: All skills, no drop

Speed: expect to average about 5mph, depending on the group. No one will be dropped.

Distance: between 7-10 miles

Time spent riding: 1.5 - 2 hours (longer depending on the group)

Difficulty: Lake Crabtree is one of the easiest trails to ride with ride arounds for all obstacles.

Details: No-drop ride for ALL Skill Levels / Riders. Looking for a nice, slow, low-pressure group
ride as you work your way back into shape after a layoff, or as you get started with MTB'ing?
Here ya go.. We'll meet at the Old Reedy Creek Rd. entrance, by the bench, Saturday mornings at 10:30am. We'll ride a big chunk of the LCCP trails, depending on how people feel. No one will be left behind (not for long anyway), we'll stop and rest as often as people need, and generally have a good time, get some exercise, and enjoy ourselves.

Weather permitting, of course.

Call or email Phil at[masked] or [masked] for more details or if you have
trouble finding us. I'll be the guy in a blue Ford Expedition, riding a brown Specialized Hard Rock.

Lake Crabtree County Park is a great location for rides. Expect easy to slightly moderate elevation changes. All trail obstacles have ride a rounds. Pace will be dependent on the experience and skill levels of the attendees, but I'm expecting an average speed of probably 5mph or so.

You MUST wear a helmet while riding on the trails. Make sure you have plenty of water.

Great people and great park! It might be cold outside, but being on the bike is always more fun than being on the couch.

I'm not going to make it today. It's a little colder than I anticipated.

Do you join this group? I don't have a mountain bike, yet, but am looking for a used one. Your name of this group is not intimidating. I used to ride all the time.

Deborah: You don't have to join the group to ride with us or anything, this is just a convenience to help us keep things coordinated. This particular ride is intentionally meant to be a slower, more relaxed pace ride, suitable for all skill and condition levels. There are other TORC group rides which ride faster and do race training etc., and everyone can pick and choose which rides they want to participate in, based on their skill, experience, level of conditioning, etc.
