Ruby Hack Night and Workshop (June Edition!)

Hey all, we're hosting a hacknight here at theScore's office! The idea behind this event is to get new and experienced Ruby developers to connect, find interesting projects to work on, and show off cool things they found over the course of the night.

You can hack on anything you want. Open source, closed source. Work. Play. Any skill level on anything on any project, it’s all good as long as you're here to sling code.

Here's the schedule:

• Arrive at theScore at 6PM

• Introductions at 6:15PM

• Hack and stuff at 6:30PM

• Wrap up at 8:45PM

• Doors close at 9:00PM (or do they?)

So, bring your projects and we'll bring the pizza! Hope to see you there!

Note: Please do not RSVP if your intent is recruiting developers.

Hey everyone, sorry about the network issues last night. Turns out that we ran out of IP addresses! Next time we'll have it resolved.

A most enjoyable and interesting event. It was nice to be in such a positive and supportive environment. I look forward to future events (with less rain ;-)

Hi, just a quick question. What types of projects should be selected during the event? I assume it should not be that big/complex as it has to be finished within couple of hours. Also, are people gonna work individually on their selected projects? or they are gonna work in a group or pair programming? Thanks!

    June 10, 2014

    • Mark C.

You can work on anything you like. Some people choose to do work, some people choose to work on side projects, and some people don't pick a project and just pair with other people. There's a small introduction at the beginning in which everyone says who they are and what they're working on so that people can pair if they want to (or start a discussion later!)
