Since 2011 Tracer-LA has been exploring tracer routes and hosting runs throughout some of the most iconic areas of Los Angeles. Members of Tracer-LA express body flow through a variety of modalities from parkour, martial arts, capoeira, urban fitness, obstacle training and more. We focus on endurance and strength training along one to five mile long tracer routes, and we often host guest instructors in our sessions. Our meetups are free and open to all skill levels and backgrounds, so feel free to join us on our next run!

It is a non-competitive, physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible, using only their bodies. Skills such as jumping, climbing, vaulting, rolling, swinging and wall scaling are employed. Parkour can be practiced anywhere, but areas dense with obstacles are preferable and it is most commonly practiced in urban areas...
A practitioner of parkour is called a "traceur", which is most likely derived from Parisian slang " tracer" which means "to hurry" or "to move quickly
