Had a great time! Videos to follow. It was great to be there with Buds Sean, Mike and Ramon. It was great to meet new Buds, Luis and Gil. Dropped more than 4 seconds off my personal best with Sean and I clocking 3 2:38's in a row on Saturday. Sean and I both felt that we did better Sunday but I'll have to analyze the Vids first. My new "Push-to-pass" system seemed to work great! PCA made Chris Hall available for track coaching. It was destinct pleasure to have Chris Pilot my car (I certainly didn't know from my own experience that my mini could take turn 1 & 17 at that speed) and then Me. Chris is not only a great driver but is one of the warmest, jovial, and humble people you will meet. The fact that he drove to the track in a mini had of course nothing to do with my opinioln of him! My session with him was my last of the weekend so I didn't ave a chance to test my new knowledge but I did turn a 2:42 and a 2:41 with the extra weight in the car. Many thanks Chris!

Had an incredible time out on the track and special thanks to my mentor for the weekend, Sean Riordan. Despite continually banging his head on the roof of the car and growing a blister on his hand from gripping the door handle, he made me faster, smoother, and just slightly less stupid (a lot of work still to be done in that category). New brake pads and tires in my near future!

David registration is officially closed, however if you want to come sunday there is still plenty of room sunday solo group I can get you added in manually.
if memory serves me right there are only about 30 people in the yellow group Sunday so it should not be bad at all. Not sure what your experience level was at SIR if you need me in the car the first session I am happy to do so.

Adam, glad to see a fellow gearhead on Trackweekend. Very excited that we're gonna have some PSL representation. Tomorrow morning I have to take the car to Orbit Racing in WPB to get tires put on, corner balanced and ready for next weekend. Can't wait. Are you staying at the Chateau Elan?

Ok. I received my confirmation yesterday and my requested numbers. However, I signed up for the yellow/solo group and was placed in the blue/advanced student group. I thought that PCA and PBOC had reciprocity and that driving solo in PBOC would allow me to do the same in PCA. Is this correct or am I completely off base. I also sent an experience history with my registration of 20+ track days at Sebring. Any advice?

If the PCA group does not know your experience, they will place you in non-solo. Your instructor will have you do a check out drive when you are ready. To go solo at Sebring in a manual shift car, heel-toe shifting is pretty much required. Your assigned class will be on the ROSTER link on your confirmation at clubregistration.net....

Adam, most PCA HPDEs are open to non-PCA members and cars other than Porsche. The Feb 26 DE at Sebring already has non-Porsches on the roster. Go to http://www.clubregistration.net. To register, create an account, it's free. To register for this event, go to Menu > Search for Events, then select Organization> PCA, Club> select Suncoast PCA and Event Type> Driver's Ed, then Search. This is a friendly group of car enthusiasts, hope we will see you there.
