As January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the local community has organized a Freedom Walk downtown LA. Come out, bring your friends and family. There will be a short walk and a "Freedom Fair" at the end where you can meet anti trafficking agencies and learn what's going on in LA and how to get more involved in anti trafficking efforts.

You can find more information and register at http://www.slaverynomore.org/events/la-freedom-walk/

Register by January 17th, or day of at 8:30. First 200 registrants will receive a complimentary t-shirt.

It should be a fun event and an easy way to beinvolved in the fight against modern day slavery

    Hi members!

I really wish I could go to the Freedom Walk to represent, and raise awareness, but I have my kids with me this weekend. I'm looking forward to more events in the future where I can help. I'm always in LA on Wednesdays and Thursdays so ask me if I can help with anything. I would like to get more involved. I joined The Los Angeles Fight Human Trafficking Meetup 6 years ago when I first moved to LA when I was still single. I was too busy with getting established in LA and busy with all the noise in life. I didn't get involved with this meetup during that time, and I really regret it. Now that I'm married and settled down I have more time to be less selfish, and really fight for what I believe in (end modern slavery...and many other social issues...) to help make this world a better place to live in. Especially, for children because they really are the future, and the catalyst for change.
