Grow Food Party Crew - Digging Bloomfield Garden Pt.2

What is the Grow Food Party Crew? We are an ever-changing crew of wannabe & experienced gardeners who start or maintain people's gardens and then have snacks, a potluck, or a full-fledged party, with plenty of learning, fun, skill-sharing, and merriment. (And we're a project based out of TransitionPGH, though we're inspired by a group on the West Coast).

On August 8th at 8am, we intend to continue what we started with in Bloomfield on 7/31, so we can get Sarah, Chris, Clara, and Andre some room in which to grow plenty of stuff for the end of this season, and next spring! We'll move on from simply clearing vines to digging up soil, and hopefully actually planting August-withstanding seeds in the end.

Leave a comment for the event organizers so we can give you a location!

Bring shovels, pickaxes, branch clippers, or rakes so you can be extra useful! Though you can still participate anyway. We'll likely be out till 12, or later. We'll give you water and snacks.

It was a small group of three but we got it done! It was good meeting and working with Justin and Chris. We seemed to naturally brainstorm well on how to do the garden, and the fruit smoothies at the end were cool, too!

Do folks have to have shovels/pickaxes to participate?

People who bring more pickaxes, shovels, rakes, and branch clippers, etc, will be more useful; though without Meetup guests bringing more, I expect AT LEAST 6-7 tools there this time, such that AT LEAST 7 people will be able to participate at one time.

Sorry for last time about the confusion for RSVPing. I should've only said the location would be given if you emailed the host...
