Wine Train!

Hello Everyone,

If you like wines and trains, well, then here is the perfect combination!^^

We are going on a day trip to Chungcheong Province on a wine train. Yes, the wine train is decorated with a wine theme inside and out.^^

And October is a great time to travel by train. You will be able to see lots of leaves turning into fall colors.

You will get to taste various wines (included in the price) and relax to music on the train and enjoy everyone's company by playing a few games. The wines are Korean wines from grapes grown in the area. 4 types should be available. Dry red, dry white, sweet, and a Korean raspberry wines.

And here is the best part. We can own the entire train car! It holds maximum of 42 people.

In addition to all the great things about travelling by train, there is no traffic jam!^^

Please deposit ASAP as the available space may be reduced significantly at any time.

The schedule for the day will be like this:

Meet at Seoul Train Station (not underground in subway station but in the high ceiling train ticket booth building) in front of Travel Center sign accross from McDonalds inside the train station buulding. Please check in with the trip leader who has list of names and receive a tag for you to be identified as part of our group.

Depart Seoul Station (Possible to get on train in the following points as well: Suwon 9:40AM, Daejeon 11:10AM)
The train # is 4219 bound for Busan. The wine train cars are in the back but can change at any time. You can get on any of the rear cars and then walk back from the inside so the key is to get on the right train and NOT MISS IT. You are responsible if you miss the train. Several people have missed the train or gotten on the wrong train in the past. If you miss the train there is really no way to catch up. Usually the trains leave on time but not always. You wont know the platform # until you get to the train station. You wont need a ticket to get on the train since they can check on the train. Call if you are not sure. We highly recommend you start from the Seoul Train Station.

As for seating, on the wine train they are half 4 person seating and and the other half two person seating. Those who have 4 person groups will get seating first. Then after all the 4 person groups have been seated the 2 person groups get seating. Then 3 person groups will be assigned the 4th person and provided seating. The ginseng train has only 4 person seating.

Wine tasting starts after Suwon station and ends at Daejeon station. The buffet lunch at the winery has unlimited wine drinking. Wine drinking continues on the return train. (Please drink in moderation. We will not allow drunken behavior that imposes on other people having good time. You may be asked not to board the train or bus without any partial refunds.)
The buffet has salads and stuff so should be ok for vegetarians on the trip.

On the way down we get the wine train. On the way back we will be on the ginseng train which is almost as nice.

11:39AM Arrive Wine Growing Area
Transfer by bus to a garden area for buffet lunch.

Arrive garden for buffet lunch which will include not just Korean food but Chinese and Japanese and Western food as well as salads.
You will have white and rose wine and Bokbunja Blackberry wines during lunch.

Wine Footbath Experience
