I've retired and looking for a group and/or a roommate for the Caribbean cruise on 1/27/13.
Norwegian has a sale until 10/31 where you put down half the deposit or $125 each person.
To simplify the prices:
An inside room cost a total of $592.85. That is $499 plus tax of $93.85. Add a land package of 2 nights at the Sheration for $179 a person which is a steal in New Orleans as the hotels are high.
An ocean view room with porthole cost $672.85; that is $579 plus tax of $93.85. Add the same land package for $179 more a person.
Also add $89 which is optional for insurance which means if you cancel after the final payment without insurance, you don't get your money back, so make sure you are going and you'll save the money.
If you get the insurance, you can cancel for any reason or you get sick, you'll get the money back.
I searched New Orleans hotels and they're running $150 upwards a night.
So the final answer as they used to say on How to be a millionaire is now you can book it for only $250 a room or $125 a person. You can put down deposit for 2 people and find a roommate later.
Usually the deposit is $250 a person.
Compare this to Princess which is much higher. The Crown Princess is going out of Galvestion at the same time. The inside rooms are sold out and ocean view rooms are $1,000.
I've been on this ship to Alaska and it is great with a lot of entertainment, food and activities.
So who would like to go to the Caribbean?
