To what extreme are singles willing to go to meet their mate? If you ask singles who are passionate about meeting other eligibles, they may be ready to move up to warp speed.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU'D LIKE TO ATTEND A SPEED DATING EVENT, SO, THAT I CAN SET UP A LOCATION AND DATE...COST IS $20.00 PER PERSON, INCLUDING FOOD.
Vicky Watkins, who began Speed dating events four years ago, is passionate about creating events “Over time, I’ve made matches for a total of 11 marriages,”
I like people to meet on a more personal level, one on one, instead of in a big group,” There will be 20 women seated, and 20 men will rotate from table to table, for 4-5 minutes.” I have 40 questions prepared, which she will narrow down, choosing the best 10 for singles to use during their speed dates. “I have a list of topics to talk about – nothing about work or money,” she explained. “This way, people get an insight into each other’s values and type of personality.”
At the end of the program, participants will complete a card with the number of the person they’d like to get to know better. Watkins will follow up with the pairs, hopefully getting a consensus for them to see each other again.
Considering the old adage, it’s not what you know, but who you know, potential speed-dating women and men should rev up their meet-and-greet skills to kindle a spark of interest in someone they may, some day, grow to love.
