Really curious about Bakkhus in Kemah: they have a lot of specials, like Steak Night on Mondays, Seafood night on Wednesdays, and Pasta night on Thursdays. Plus they have Greek food: yum!

Oh...Did Clifton by the Sea change their name to Clifton's Seaside Diner, or is it a new place? Looks like they have a lot of specials too, like oysters & snow crab on Tuesdays & Thursdays, Prime Rib on Wednesdays, All-you-can-eat catfish on Fridays. Might be fun to head over there!

No nothing about Bakkhus either, maybe we should make it a group effort to find out...

Here is the answer on Clifton's http://www.b4-u-eat.c...
I had not noticed the name change, eaten there after Ike, was good.
Be a good place for outside.

I will have to see if Doggie can go; he liked bisquits and gravy at Noah's Ark Thursday morning, was a nice day, he even got to run free and check out across the street. Waitress said "don't worry he will be fine." The vodka lemonade was good too, so I bought some vodka and took him to the other local "bring your bottle dives" he likes frequenting.

Speaking of which, San Leon now has one more to choose from, Pelican has reopened. It is kinda a "sports beer bar dive" but not sure if Doggie is welcome yet. http://pelicanssports...

Some new restaurants coming to Seabrook!

Taqueria NASA is coming soon on NASA Rd 1 where Mornings Kolaches used to be, directly across the street from Turtle Club. Looks like an authentic, low-priced Mexican place.

They are building a Sam's Boat near the Endeavour Marina on NASA Rd 1. That should do wonders for the traffic!

Heard 18th St Pier bar in San Leon had been rebuilt. Kinda thought was BSing me. Today turned in where the same old beat up movable sign has been. Driving in saw nothing and thought I was had, then appeared this big nice building, so had to go inside for one. Very nice place, full bar, burgers at times,
posted meetup there for this Friday http://travel.meetup....
band on Saturday, Karaoke on Friday (will have to tell friend Bill Jones, sings at Turtle Club and saw recently at Capone's (Bay Area Blvd up road from Baybrook Mall) which has now reopened, remodelleed, new owners, full bar, Karaoke also.

Mike, I definitely want to check out those 2 places you mentioned.

BTW, Taqueria NASA is now open. All the signs are in Spanish, so it's probably some very authentic food.

They deliver to Kimberly's apt, have not been inside, but the people are friendly.

After Ike they were offering free food, since electric was out. Cooking out front and had a guy on Bay Area with a sign...

the link doesnt mention that address tho, so here
