Hi travel Enthusiasts,
We've had a great response from this group and my Outdoor &n Snow Lovers MeetUp to the Snowshoe & XC Ski Weekend in February. So far 13 people have signed up and there is room for only 5 more people.
I've had some questions on the weekend and I'll answer them in this email. I've also revised the flyer and attached it to this email. We need to have a minimum number of people per cabin and the flyer shows the minimums and the bedding configurations in each cabin.
Here are the Q&A's.
Q: When do we have to pay by?
A: Your space is confirmed and held by making a $25 deposit or paying in full.
Q: What is the last day that we can pay?
A: January 6th is the last day to sign-up and pay; and the last day to back out. However, your space won't be held without any money.
Q: How much do we have to pay?
A: Because I expect this weekend to fill up quickly I would suggest paying the lower rates of $199 for a rustic cabin and $29 for the log cabin. The costs are in the flyer.
Q: What happens if they don't have any snow up there at that time?
A: They have a "No Snow Guarantee." That means we don't have to pay or will get our money back if they don't have any snow.
Q: Do they have rental equipment?
A: No. XC skis and snowshoes can be rented down in the cities at places such as REI or at stores in the area. However, I would recommend renting in the cities so you are assured of having the equipment you need.
Q: Can we bring our own beverage?
A: Yes. As a matter of fact they encourage us to bring our own wine/beer to meals. So rest assured I'll be bringing a bottle or two of wine for my evening meals.
