Welcome outdoor enthusiasts!

Welcome everyone! This is a new, cooperative-style group that hopes to bring together young professionals and graduate students, ages 22-35, who share a common passion: outdoor recreation. Ideally, this group will organize the gamut of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, winter sports, urban walks, and more. Participants will need to meet any minimum fitness requirements prior to signing up for an event. We’ll tag along with other groups (e.g. the Charles River Wheelmen) from time to time. To join, kindly fill out ALL of the profile questions. Membership requests will be reviewed once per week.

Please note: This group is truly “cooperative” in the sense that 1) we value friendship-building and community and 2) members are encouraged to contribute ideas and help plan events as much as possible. Running a Meetup group can be extremely time-consuming and while we organizers are happy to plan and lead some events, having a diversity of activities will require your frequent contributions. If you find yourself wishing we'd host a particular event, or more events in general...please feel free to suggest one!

Also in co-op spirit, we request a $1 membership fee to help offset the $144 yearly Meetup website charge. Kindly pitch in your $1 at the first event you attend.

ATTENDANCE: In alignment with our core value of community-building, members who are inactive for more than three months will be removed. Also, in fairness to others who can’t attend events when they fill up, people who RSVP “Yes” three (3) times without arriving will be removed as well. If you have a change of plans or RSVP “Maybe”, please update your RSVP at least 2 days prior to the event. Thanks for your understanding regarding this attendance policy--our hope is that it will make the events well-attended and lively, and make the group more cohesive and pleasant for everyone.
