Features & Drush TriDUG - Raleigh Tuesday evening, Nov 12th

7:00-7:15 Downstairs lobby sign-in (get your visitor's badge)

7:15-7:30 Opening go around, announcements, jobs offered/needed.

7:30 - 8:30 Features and Drush (Jay Beaton)

8:30 - 9:00 Q&A

9:00 - + Optional hangout at Tir Na Nog (walking distance from Red Hat)

Parking:

Parking is free after 6:50pm in the deck attached to Red Hat Tower. There are multiple entrances, main ones are on Wilmington and Blount.

If you arrive between 6:50 and 7pm, you will have to take a ticket, but you will *not* need to pay when leaving.

Parking on the street is also free after 5pm.

 

Check-in:

Once parked, follow signs to Red Hat Elevators. Head to the ground level. Sign in at the front desk to receive your badge.

If you arrive late, or your RSVP status changes last minute, no problem! Just make sure you let the front desk know you are here for TriDUG.

    This presentation defined a procedure of saving configurations and components, using the Features & Strongarm modules in conjunction with GitHub. Most of the commands were executed using drush command lines and arguments. Moreover, it made me want to <3 cats and their kittens. Thank you Jay.

    Jay provided an _excellent_ overview of "touchless" code updates with Features and Drush. We covered a little about the upcoming CMI (Configuration Management Initiative) in Drupal 8 as well. My only regret is not hanging for beers afterwards.
