This is a great little community, There is a wide range of user experience and everyone seems eager to teach and learn.

Interesting - although I am very early in my Drupal experience, it was useful to see others further along the path discussing and sharing their experience.

I was hoping to see someone actually go into the details of what it takes to make a Drupal theme. I think that would make a good topic for a future presentation.

Sorry we missed you Pepper. Are you near Cary? That's where our next meeting will be.

I sure would love to come, but I just can't get away from work till after 7 tonight. Sorry It didn't work out! I can't wait to come to your meetings. Any chance you can have meetings after work - I work till 7 every night. Most nights I just can't get away early or take time off work to go to a meeting. I VPN into a Chicago based company where they work till 6, which is 7 here. So sorry to have to miss meeting you all.

    Hi Clint,

I just wrote a blog entry/tutorial about how to add/customize regions in Drupal:
    http://www.coalmarch.com/coalma...

Judy: your problems look like they would just involve editing the CSS of that theme. Of course, the best way to do this would be to create a customized sub-theme.

I'll be at the meet up tomorrow night and, in addition to Matthew, I can answer a lot of questions about theme building.

This does look like a great topic. If possible, I'd love to see stuff related to making Drupal sites look less...Drupally. Drupal is very configurable, but most sites seem to fit the same generic header/footer/content/sidebar region layout. Info on how to create new collapsable regions like the RoopleTheme themes would be awesome.

Good topic. I've just started looking at themes. I like the theme "Clean" (http://drupal.org/project/clean) and would like to know how to (1) widen the left column and (2) space between items in the add content page. If you look at http://test.nccommunities.org/ you'll see that the event calendar runs into the main text column. And on http://test.nccommunities.org/n... it's hard to see the content types.
