It's been a while since I've seen everyone! I hope you can make it out this weekend!
Parkour is an incredible discipline which both demands and improves overall fitness. We'll practice the core movements commonly used in Parkour and utilize conditioning drills and exercises which will benefit your fitness in a variety of dimensions; strength, agility, balance, coordination, the list goes on. You will learn how to safely practice Parkour and how to train to increase your abilities dramatically.
We'll practice parkour movements as we overcome obstacles and mental boundaries throughout NCSU campus--These obstacles are anything in the surrounding environment--from stairs, rails, rocks , ledges, crawl spaces, branches, concrete walls to precision jumps and/or leaps. And as always it's 'Challenge by Choice.' This means if you don't want to try something then you don't have to. I'm not telling anymore though because I'd like it to be a surprise! Hope to see you there!

We'll be meeting at the picnic table at Pullen Park next to the Theater. From Hillsborough Street turn onto Pullen Park Road and enter into the circle/round about. Take the third exit off the circle to the right to the theater/Pullen Park. There are various places to park - please make sure you read the signs! If you have not signed a waiver (you can find these on the site too, under files) make sure you see Mikel before participating in any group activity!
Make sure you wear lose clothing because it gets hot when you're moving. Finger cut-off gloves (biking gloves) may be useful if you're a beginner, since we do some wall jumping and campus is brick. Although wearing gloves may inhibit your ability to 'feel' the obstacles and keep you from toughening up your hands. Wear comfortable underwear/sports bra for lots of running and jumping. We'll start with stretches, jumps, rolls, and falls before our run so everyone has a basic workable knowledge of these and be more safe during our exercises.
We'll leave the picnic table location after about 15 minutes of warm ups.My cellular is [masked]
