It's that time of year again! If you've never fished a DH Stream before and want to see what it's like here is your chance. I try to do one of these trips every year and each time everyone catches something. Newbies are welcome but please have a simple understanding of rigging the rod, knots and basic casting.
Waders will be required. Rods usually used are a 4-6wt. The wading is really easy and the flows are not dangerous. The river has very easy access. I'm hoping I can get another person familiar with this water to volunteer. If that happens I'll open this meetup up to 8 people.
I figured we could all meet at REI at 7am then drive out to the river from there. If you carpool with people please chip in for gas. I can take 3 in my car. More details to follow as soon as I know how many people are actually going. I think there is a picnic area too where we can grill hot dogs or burgers. We can talk about it more later.
