RedVentures is seeking talented developers!

Come to a company where your talents are appreciated, your voice is heard, and your code has an impact. If you can answer the following questions with an emphatic 'heck, yeah!' then please, apply right now (well, actually, look through the job specs, then apply online).

• Do you consider yourself a mild-mannered(ish) web developer by day, and a github ninja by night?
• Has this ever been a part of your nametag:
$do || !$do; try();
Fatal error: Call to undefined function try
• Did you just edit the code above because 2 statements on one line gives you hives?
• Is your house a delivery stop for the Monster Energy truck?
• Do you reflect on procedural PHP as if it were the dark ages?
• Do you believe tabs vs. spaces could ignite world war 3?
• Do you have an innate ability to give cool names to your projects, such as TheRickRoller, LukesCoolerHand, and JobPostinator (I call dibs)?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, you might be the coolest person we know and we’ve asked Scotty to beam you up. If you answered yes to most of these questions, we still would love to meet you!

Ok, we know you’re cool, now let us show off a little

You’ll have all the tools you need, including both Linux and Windows-based development environments, a MacBook Pro or PC (your choice) and the ability to completely surround yourself with monitors (sunscreen optional). You’ll interact with lots of smart people, both technical and non-technical (yes, non-technical smart people do exist, and we’ve managed to find them), and can bounce ideas off other members of our large internal developer community. Developers are also issued a standard EX-3 Nerf Gun to keep the marketing team in check.

In addition to cool tools, we have a basketball court, a subsidized gourmet bistro, a running track, and a yearly all expenses paid company trip to a tropical beach where the sun and ocean melt the words PHP, code, and deadline from your mind*.
* Melting effect is temporary and wears off Monday when we go back to work

• Architect and develop web-based applications, high-traffic consumer-facing websites, intranets and extranets, search engine and social media API implementations, proprietary search marketing tools, CRM applications, and dashboards that stream live data on any one of our 200+ dashboards that line the walls of our office
• Work alongside business leaders and marketing staff to determine business requirements and rapidly translate them into final products
• Find creative solutions to business and technology challenges
• Design, evaluate, update and maintain object oriented applications in PHP
• Conduct QA tests to ensure functionality before pushing new code live
• Maintain your own project timelines and meet aggressive deadlines

• 2+ years of recent experience in hands-on software design and coding
• BS/BA/MS/ in MIS or CS or equivalent experience or training
• Highly self-motivated and creative problem-solver
• Analytical and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, execute and deliver projects on time
• Strong OOP and software design ability; able to develop systems that meet architectural objectives including reusable, scalable code
• Strong architectural and coding experience in backend development, web UI development or both
• Sense of humor (if you didn't laugh at least once while reading this, then our feelings are hurt, thanks)

Our SEM and SEO capabilities are second to none. We’ve even been known to wow the major search engines with our implementations of their tools and data feeds. Our development community is large, diverse and strong. Despite our growth, we refuse to compromise our standards in hiring development talent. You’ll work in an environment of mutual respect, learning and growth.

The environment here is fast-paced yet relaxed at the same time. How can this be? Sure, we work hard to accomplish goals and meet deadlines, but we have fun while we’re doing it, sometimes at each other’s expense. If you do something nutty, you might get a metal nut, or if you made a mistake and feel remorse, you might have to wear a Sari. Don’t worry, we won’t take pictures and we would never ever post them on our Flickr page.

• We offer a competitive salary in order to attract the strongest possible candidates. You’ll also get:
• 12 days of paid vacation (but nobody’s counting, really), plus 6 major federal holidays, plus an additional paid week off when our offices close between Christmas and New Year’s Day
• Opportunities to attend relevant industry conferences such as ZendCon, PHPTek, and Comic-Con (totally relevant)
• Great benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental and vision coverage, short- and long-term disability insurance, and life insurance plans
• Casual dress. And by casual, we mean I’m-ready-to-play-basketball-at-a-moments-notice attire
