It’s a fantastic time to be in healthcare education, and our EdTech NewCo is growing rapidly – that’s why we need a top-notch Implementation Engineer to help us build great client success stories during this exciting period.

If you love being responsible for the technical aspects of setting up new clients – as well as helping existing clients grow – you could be critical to our success as you help us execute on the promise of our gold-standard solution.

You belong here if:

  • You know how to keep a “client first” focus and attitude regardless of any unforeseen circumstances
  • You’ve got an agile, flexible mindset, but also the ability to stay on track – and a sense of humor helps, too.
  • You can communicate easily with both technical and non-technical users
  • You are great at proactively managing communication and deliverables to/from clients

And you’ve done all this stuff:

  • 3-5 yrs progressive experience as Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Application Architect
  • Lots of work with authentication systems: CAS, LDAP, AD, OpenID, Shibboleth, etc.
  • Rock-solid background in PHP, mySQL, FTP, SFTP, rsync, bash scripting, cron jobs, and configuring Apache

And you can totally handle:

  • mySQL server database configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for product data feeds, live data collection, and other programmatic interactions with client systems.
  • Writing database queries using mySQL on the mySQL server database; performing product upgrades via code merges; resolve customer technical and IT issues related to the product implementation.
  • Working closely with clients to integrate with their internal systems (authentication, registrar, etc.) – multiple projects can be going at a time, so you need to be organized and a clear communicator with excellent follow-through
  • Serving as the main point of customer contact following the close of sale, monitoring numerous processes and providing frequent status updates.
  • Creating and enhancing technical documentation to standardize our implementation procedures

We are a friendly group with high standards but a relaxed attitude - we love making an impact on the public health by improving medical education. We can offer you pretty good pay, healthcare coverage, flexible work schedule (with remote possibilities) and possible stock options for the right person.

If you’re in the RTP/Durham/Chapel Hill area of North Carolina, that’s a huge plus. But this job can be done remotely, too. If you’re interested, please send your resume and brief cover letter, including the name of your favorite movie, to jobs@lcmsplus.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
