"Ask the Vets" Education Meet-up

Avian & Exotic Animal Care is once again hosting us for our annual education meeting. This time, we have the opportunity to submit questions in advance for them to answer at the meeting. You can submit a question when you RSVP for the meeting or at any other time by emailing the "House Rabbit MeetUp Organizers." (Click on the envelope beside "Contact Us" - in the left column.)

This year, we have the privilege of having all three vets from A&E Animal Care to join us for the meeting. This should be our most informative meeting yet. RSVP, mark your calendar and start submitting questions about general rabbit health, care and behavior that you've always wanted answered by a vet.

Great meetup - very informative and winning a tee-shirt was a nice bonus.
I was glad to see such a good turnout and to meet new members.
Thanks very much to everyone at A&E, once again, for being so supportive of our group.
You guys are the best !!!

Excellent! I come from Winston-Salem to hear their words of wisdom and see other rabbit people.

Thanks to everyone who submitted a question for the vets. We've received them here on the meetup and by email, and we'll be passing them along to the vets to answer at the meeting.

hey. i joined this group just a few days before my sweetpea, Jumper, went to Rainbow Bridge after 8 1/2 years of being the love of my life so I have not been to any events. still struggling w/his loss. Dr Dan was his main vet though he also saw Dr E & Dr Leonetti @ Avian. I would love to go to this meeting b/c I plan to eventually foster bunnies while they wait for their forever homes but, I don't know anybody in the group & I'm not good at going places where I don't know anybody. So, I was wondering if there was anyone in Raleigh that would be willing to meet for lunch or meet me after work one day so I would at least recognize a face & have someone to sit with. :-) I live in Wilson but I work in Raleigh on Tuesdays & Thursdays. So if anybody's interested in meeting to get to know each other a little before the group meeting, please let me know. Thanks! :-)

Hi Michelle. It has been years ago, but we have met before, in the lobby at Avian & Exotic when they were still at the old location. Jumper was there for some kind of surgery, and you had a photo book with pictures of him. My husband and I remember seeing his pictures waiting in the lobby with you :). I also work in Raleigh. I hope you'll come to this event - we look forward to meeting you again!

ohhhh i just love bunny/animal people! they're a different breed than non-animal lovers!! i can do either tuesday or thursday this coming week or the next week. the way i go on about jumper, after work might be better. :-) Jeanette - i don't remember you but maybe i'll recognize you when i see you. at the old location he had 2 surgeries - 1 was for a 1/2lb mass removed from his abdomen & the other was to have his left kidney removed. he had 5 surgeries at the new location - 4 for sebaceous adenitis & 1 for an infection under his sweet little arm.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
