Science Cafe: Science Trivia

From the website description:

What’s cooler than absolute zero? Find out at Science Trivia nights at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, where questions feature a mix of science facts, current news, pop culture and scientific discoveries. Held in the new wing's Daily Planet Cafe on the first Thursday of every month, this is a great opportunity to mingle with friends, compete for prizes and bragging rights ... and perhaps even learn something cool.

This was a fun evening! Science questions mixed with a lot of chatter and backtalk. (And good food)

For Michael, and anyone who's not been to the NRC museum building before, there is free parking (after 5pm) immediately to the south, in the Green Square public deck. GPS to "152 North McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27603", a made-up address that will show you the side entrance. Park just inside there and it's a short/inside walk to the NRC back door, which is right at the DP Cafe.

I'm new to the Skeptics, but I've been to the Daily Planet Cafe for Science Cafe meetings several times before. They have a great selection to eat, (pre-made wraps plus grilled stuff, including burgers). Also, there's a full bar with a good selection of local beers. I try to get there about 45 min early to get a 'good' table and have time to eat.

I'm gonna try to get there early but the earliest I can be there is 6:30.

It look like they have sandwiches available. I don't know how busy the trivia is but having a large group maybe we should aim for getting there around 6 to save a large enough table.

I haven't been there before. Is dinner available or should we just plan on buying snacks if we wish?

Do they start the trivia at 7? if so we should probably try to get a little earlier to get a table.
