Chapter 18 - Tarot and the Imagination

  • Nov 13, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Optional dinner and socializing: 6pm
Official roll call and start time: 7pm

Join us in November for our next installment from Mary Greer's guide to learning the Tarot, 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card. This method shows us how to go deep into the understanding of the Tarot, by using just one card twenty one ways.

This month, one of our Assistant Organizers, and long-time member, Laurel, will be guiding us through a fascinating chapter on Tarot and the Imagination.

As Mary Greer writes, "Working with the Tarot in the imagination is one of its major uses." From the teaching of occult principles, to a powerful tool for guided visualization, the Tarot is a way to open up the mind's eye and see beyond the mundane world.

Laurel will be showing us how to use the Tarot to tap into this profound resource by triggering our spirit vision.

You won't want to miss this night of magic and fun! And by the way, if you are a newcomer to our group and/or have missed any of the earlier chapters, no problem! It's set up so you can join in any time, and we'll help you get started!

IMPORTANT: Please note that we have changed the date of this Meetup, because our regular time would have been the night before Thanksgiving. This will be on a Tuesday, not Wednesday, and the week BEFORE Thanksgiving week!

As usual, also be sure to bring your Tarot decks, your latest "show and tell" acquisitions, announcements, tales of your recent Tarot adventures, and other topics to discuss! If there is time at the end, we always love to share and practice, reading for one another.

Please remember: If you are going to order one of Bocci's delicious dinners, please give yourself (and the restaurant staff!) at least 45 minutes, before we start at 7.

After 7pm, we'll need room to spread out, move around, take notes, and work with our cards, safely away from the olive oil and marinara!
