Heads Up! TVS Holiday Party - Chapel Hill

  • December 14, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • Barry Nakell's home

This event is a heads up as it is a Triangle Vegetarian Society event and not hosted by the meetup.

Please join TVS for their Holiday Party and White Elephant gift exchange. It starts with a Vegetarian Pot Luck. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share and a list of your ingredients.

After we eat, we will, as has become tradition, have a low-/no-cost simple gift exchange – please bring something, wrapped, from around the house that you no longer use that others may find valuable; please bring one present per person. (If you decide to purchase a gift, please do not exceed $10.)

Nice smaller crowd this year. Very pleasant gathering and tasty food. Thank you to all the hosts of home & event. And the musician!

I just lost one of my dogs. I think I'm too sad to be around others right now.

And Joan is right, if you want to participate in the gift exchange bring one gift for each person in your party. If you come by yourself then just one wrapped gift.

I am new to the area and just learning to be vegan I have been vegetarian for 9 years and don't cook. So Amy suggestions on what I can bring to share for the or luck.
Also for the gift exchange is everyone bringing a gift for each person on the list

Don't worry too much about what to bring. Some of the dishes will be very complex some will be very simple. I think Whole Foods has some vegan pies. The idea behind the gift exchange is to recycle something that you don't use anymore or a gag gift under $5. The most important thing is to be there with bells on.

Hi, I have another long-planned event right before this and probably can't get there until as late as 8:00. Please let me know if that is too late to participate (and provide a dish to share) and I can give my spot to someone else if they want it. ([masked])

Perhaps you could come for the gift exchange, but it will probably be too late to bring a pot luck dish, if we eat around 7.
