Drag Bingo in Durham

It’s just a silly game. It's outrageous. It's funny. It's DRAG BINGO. Drag Bingo generates income benefiting the Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina through admission ticket sales, bingo cards and food sales. Drag Bingo also solicits funds through sponsorships – making it possible for one hundred percent of monies raised at the event to go straight to the Alliance. Games typically sell out in one week. All prizes won at DRAG BINGO are donated by generous businesses in the community. The Drag/Gay Bingo craze began in Seattle, and additional games are springing up in Boston, Washington, DC, Atlanta and Pittsburgh. Proceeds fund direct care services for people living with AIDS or HIV, education for people at risk and prevention programs. The theme for this evening is "Be My Valentine." DRAG BINGO captures the spirit of the diverse group of people that turn out each month to find fun, friendship and fulfillment. The show/games weave together the amusing traditions of the game (everyone must stand whenever "O-69" is called) as well as the many unique personalities and characters associated with the event. Among the many participants viewers will meet are: ”Mary K. Mart”, the hostess, who comes up with monthly themes, builds that night’s show schedule and navigates the game's emotional current from seriousness to hilarity. John Paul Womble, co-host, who by day is the Director of Development and Public Relations of the Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina. The Bingo Verifying Divas (BVDs), including, "Winnie Baygo", “Tequilla Rose”, “Minnie Mart”, "Miss Diagnosed", "Eunyce Raye", "Champagne Bubbles", "Ivana Vodka", "Kiki Rodriguez", "Lady Bumbles", "Sierra Nevada", "Rodessa Roadhard", and "Sierra Leone" draw fans with their breathtaking costumes and monumental hair extravaganzas. The BVDs sell bingo cards, concessions and help verify bingo winners.
Note: RSVPing "yes" does not guarantee you a spot -- you must purchase your own ticket. Advance tickets are $17.00 for General Admission, and $17.00 at the door on the night of the show. I strongly suggest advance purchase, as Drag Bingo often sells out prior to the night of the event. If you plan on purchasing tickets at the door, get there early to avoid the waiting list. Doors open at 6 pm. Tickets go on sale for this event on Jan. 8. You may purchase tickets in advance, and your seating will be guaranteed until 7:30pm. please RSVP no later than 9 am on Weds 2/9 if you plan to join us for this event -- that's when I have to tell the venue how many seats we'll need. I have a total of 23 people signed up from 4 other meetups -- would be nice to get one or two from this group as well!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
