Walk for Farm Animals - help and ideas needed!

Hello!
So this is more than a little crazy and rather last minute, but I realized over the weekend that no one is organizing a Farm Sanctuary Walk for Farm Animals this year. I think whether the walk is big or small it'd be a shame to not have one in the Triangle, so I've agreed to throw one together for mid-October. Exact date TBD.

What I need: Physical help and logistical/informational help! Of course I'll need walkers and people to help out day of, but if you can't do that I need help finding a location to have the walk. Any suggestions appreciated - especially if you know whether or not a permit would be required. I'm in Durham, so that'd be my preference, but there may also be some great central locations. There are two ways to look at it - the walk could be a time for like-minded people to get together and walk for a great group. Or Farm Sanctuary provides lots of educational signs, so it could be an informative walk in a well traveled location. If you are aware of any companies that might make donations for the walkers of vegan items, that would be great too.

The number one priority is finding a location - and from that a date comes. I would appreciate any suggestions!

If you can help in ANY way, please contact me offline at vgtrian at mac dot com. I am looking at Oct 11 or 12, or Oct 18 or 19. If you are aware of any conflicts, please let me know!

Here is some information about Farm Sanctuary if you are not that familiar with them:
?Farm Sanctuary is a national, non-profit animal protection organization. Each year they rescue, rehabilitate and provide lifelong care for hundreds of animals rescued from factory farms, stockyards and slaughterhouses. In addition to operating the shelters, they work to gain legal protection for animals used in food production and to raise public awareness about factory farm cruelty and cruelty-free alternatives. The Walk helps fund Farm Sanctuary's rescue and protection campaigns.?
