Announcing a new Meetup for Vegetarian & Vegan Meetup of Raleigh, Durham & Chapel Hill!

What: Bright Palace Dinner Meetup

When: January 29,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Thanks to member Brenda, who will be hosting this event, we're having a bonus dinner meetup this month! Let's return to Bright Palace for some exclusively vegetarian fare. If you haven't heard, Bright Palace is the newest veg restaurant, opened in Cary last fall.

Bright Palace offers a variety of Asian cuisines with both tofu and fake meats (an if you are a mushroom lover they have lots of those!). The group has had mixed reaction to the food. Many dishes we love, others not so much. There is a thread on the message board entitled Bright Palace - What have you tried. I encourage you to check it out for recommendations and add your thoughts to it after you eat there. The restaurant is decorated in a lovely fashion and the manager and servers have been very pleasant and accommodating. At a previous meetup one person didn't like her dish, they got her a replacement without hesitation. The one server I've had three times has been wonderful about recommending dishes (the menu descriptions can be less than descriptive!) and even suggesting a combo of things to suit one's taste. I have heard there is another server who, due to language barrier, has difficulty talking about which dishes are vegan. So there are some bumps from time to time, but generally people have really enjoyed eating at Bright Palace.

Check out the menu at http://www.brightpalace.com/. How great to have another all vegetarian option in the area - let's do what we can to help it make it!

~ Stephanie H

PS - Photo features patriotic crispy tofu (which I really like - ask for the mango sauce on the side!). : )
