Oops - the below should say 'this is where you can NOW post the info' and not 'where you can not post the info'.
Also, you may have noticed that the number of group members has decreased significantly. This is because I have deleted everyone from the group who has not logged onto the group page in the last 6 months. This does not even mean they had to attend an event, just log on to the website, look at the calendar or something. We post people's addresses, where we are going to be, etc here so I think it is not unreasonable to only keep active members on the site. If anyone deleted wants to rejoin, they are welcome to do so!
If you think you may be getting close to the 6 month mark since you logged in, just click and go to the site to keep yourself active at Triangle Vegetarian & Vegan Meetup
or better yet - RSVP and join us at an event! The purpose of this group is to get out and MEET UP in person! : ) We want to see you at an event!
Hope to see you soon!
Meetup.com is getting ready to roll out a totally new look for the home page. Organizers have the option of using it now and also flipping back and forth for a few weeks. I went ahead and changed to the new format to check it out and get used to it. The same info is still there, everything is just in a different place. Please let me know if you have trouble finding things. Take a minute and click around - hopefully it won't be too painful for us all! : )
If you are already a member, you will now have to click 'expand' in order to see the meetup description at the top center, including membership dues, etc. This info has not disappeared! By the way, don't forget to bring your dues to future meetups. This helps me pay the server fee that Meetup.com charges. You guys have been great about paying dues and chipping in - keep up the great work!
You may also notice there are forums on the message boards now. I have added a forum for 'Products and Services Sales/Offers'. I get LOTS of emails where people are trying to get me to email you with an offer of something food or veg or animal related. If you sell something along this vein or otherwise want to promote a veg related business - that is where you can not post the info! I will continue to refuse to allow emails (much of which I'd consider spam) to go out to the group at large, but people may check the message boards at any time.
We have some great events coming up and it's already been an action packed year! As always, just email me if you have a suggestion for an event - the more details the better. I am sooo looking forward to the weather warming up - so we can get back to walks, picnics and other outdoor activities!
Have a great weekend - our first non-snowy one in a while!!
