March Triangle SQL Server User Group Meeting

You are cordially invited to the next meeting of the Triangle SQL Server User Group to be held on March 19 at TEK Systems in Raleigh, NC from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Microsoft Dedicated Field Engineer Tim Chapman will present:

Index Internals

Have you ever wondered what an index actually looks like and performs under the covers? In this talk I'll discuss Index Internals, and how SQL Server creates, maintains, and uses indexes internally for normal operations. I’ll be discussing topics such as index data structures, query optimization (briefly) and maintaining indexes and statistics.

Tim Chapman has over a decade of database design and administration experience and has the MCITP certification for Database Administration and Development. For the past 3 years, Tim has been awarded the Microsoft MVP award for his contributions to the SQL community. Tim works at Microsoft as a Dedicated Premier Field Engineer.

We look forward to seeing you all there!
