TriPython June 2014 Meeting: Designing Poetic APIs

To get full and timely notifications of all TriPython events and discussions, subscribe to the TriPython email list at Full information about TriPython is available on the website at

Erik Rose of Mozilla will reprise his PyCon presentation, Designing Poetic APIs. "The language you speak determines the thoughts you can think. Thus, API designers (and that includes you, if you've ever coined a function) have a great duty, as language inventors, to expand the mental canvases of those who come after. We'll concretize that into 7 hallmarks of good APIs, pulling examples (and bloopers) from popular Python libraries."

Lightning talks, 5 to 10 minutes extemporaneous expositions on a topic of interest to you, something you recently learned, kind of like a show and tell, are always welcome as well. Please see the parking instructions on the BCC website. A wide variety of possibilities for the after-meeting are within steps of BCC.
