Lake Dennison Recreation Area includes 4000 acres of land with a clean, spacious body of water for swimming and tree lined park roads. The courses include rural and park roads with rolling terrain. 2008's race was selected by USAT as Massachusetts Club Championship and boasted some of the best age group and elite triathletes in the state. Come and celebrate the serenity of Lake Dennison Recreation Area in Winchendon, MA!
Register for the race at http://www.maxperform...
Yes, the 'intermediate' distance listed on the posting here is the Olympic distance on the registration page (also sometime referred to as International distance). Official international distance is 1.5K swim (.93 miles), 40K bike (24.9 miles), and 10K run (6.2 miles). But a lot of races will be slightly off of that distance and so might call it 'intermediate' or whatever. I am signing up for the Sprint distance for that race.
Ok..90% sure I'm doing this one simply because I need redemption for the NE Season Opener! My only concern is which one to do??? Hopefully, this one will be my 1st official "tri" (fingers crossed!!)
I'm doing the Olympic for sure. This one was my first olympic distance last year and I totally goofed. I was the last one out of the water, my bike chain fell off twice, and legs were dead during the run. This year is redemption!!! :)
Can't wait to meet everyone!! Is anyone staying sat night?? or is everyone driving early sunday am??
I'm staying over at the campgroud sat night.... a little extra sleep can't hurt. There's not many sites left.
I'd be up for sharing a hotel room, if it was cheap. Camping looks really cheap, $12/night. Jonny, do you know which site you have? If people are up for camping we could get sites close together. I've got a 4-6 person tent!
rideshare:
departing from Cambridge, MA early in the morning.
Have room for one more person and a bike.

Who is going to the pasta dinner at 7pm the night before? Wanna meet up?
The pasta dinner is from 4-7pm Ruben. So, if you show up at 7, you might not get any food! Amanda and I are leaving Boston at around 3 or so. Going to head straight to the site to get packets and probably hang around for food. Probably be at the site around 430 or so.
Oops! I'll definitely try to leave Boston around the same time then, 3pm.
Will probably be at the site by 4-ish. (Possibly going to check out a movie closer to the hotel in Fitchburg later on). Jury's still out on the pasta dinner.

I'm a little confused... is the "Intermediate Triathlon" the same as the "Olympic" when you go to register? And which distance is everyone doing?
