It is the start of the North Carolina Museum of Art's Summer Film Series, which takes place on the lawn next to the amphitheater on a big screen. New this year: a high-definition digital format with a new state-of-the art digital projection system. This Saturday night's film is Captain Phillips (w/ Tom Hanks in a highly praised performance as a ship captain whose vessel is commandeered by Somali pirates, 2013). The movie is $5.00 -- free for museum members.
