I thought it was wonderful. I'll probably see it again which I never do with most films.

Very good movie, but very hard to describe. You have to see it for yourself to find out what it's about. I expect to see a few Oscar nominations.

Not sure what type of food and drink would be appropriate, as this movie spans so many clutures and times. Fusion cuisine at 9:00?

Will we be getting out too late to enjoy après libations?

    • Kevin

Kevin, 6pm is perfect! I very much appreciate the time you are taking to coordinate this event for us. Planning and rescheduling events can be exasperating - not for the faint of heart.

It's still the best independent movie group in the area, is just hope there will be more movies that have not been through the screening and normalization process, movies that make you go huh and not zzz, personally i like home cooked food and home cooked movies, and everything authentic, unfiltered and fresh, it just my personal taste, McDonalds are great for most people, i really prefer something else, really... I hope it's not too upsetting, I'll shut up now.

This movie is entirely appropriate for this group. Vanessa, you should not feel bad at all about suggesting it. A large majority of the ones we see are actually independent, but the occasional thought-provoking Hollywood movie has been in the mix for a while.

I thought this group was an Indie film group, not a mainstream one, can somebody explain why this movie is on the calendar?

stay tuned, I am looking for another location and maybe a new date and time.

A couple of notes: This movie is almost 3 hours long.

It's also IMAX so it's going to cost more than a normal movie. But it is the smaller IMAX , not the big one like in downtown Raleigh.

Kevin, it looks like Cloud is no longer being shown on IMax at Crossroads on the date you selected as the new James Bond film now has that spot. Also the time for the movie says 8 pm though I know that can always change: http://www.fandango.c...

Since this is a big box movie, movies at Southpoint on Tuesdays are $5.00 all day. Just a thought. :)

I saw the film last weekend and will probably see it twice more. It would be great to see it with the Indie group and then discuss. I am still confused ...

Vanessa, since you made the original suggestion, do you want to pick a showtime and theater? This is an experiment in crowdsourcing -- it's the first time a suggestion has gotten the three required people on its own, without an organizer "blessing" it. This movie isn't on my to-see list since I really want to read the book first, but it's certainly a good fit for the group.
