I got this message from Annie at an outfit called WGBH Lab (linked in the message). It seemed like the sort of thing that was worth pointing this group to.

Here's the message:

Mark,
Not sure how many in your group are aspiring film/video
storytellers, but if you think they'd appreciate this message,
we'd be glad to have them participate.
Cheers,
Annie, for WGBH Lab

The PBS show AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, along with the WGBH Lab, is
hosting a contest for video storytellers. We want your report
about the gay rights movement happening now. Send us your
videos about issues such as Don't Ask Don't Tell, gay marriage,
adoption, bullying, etc. Where do you see people standing up
for their rights today?

Deadline: February 14, 2011

Who can enter: anyone interested in contributing to this
important story about civil rights.

The contest: A panel of guest judges will choose FIVE videos to
receive $1000 each. One lucky video will air on PBS after the
television premier of the film Stonewall Uprising this
April.

See the trailer and learn more about the contest on the Lab's
website.
