WRAL is reporting that as a part of the Town of Cary's downtown revitalization effort that the city is renovating the first movie theater in Cary (built in the 1940's and is located at 122 East Chatham St.) and it will show Indie/Art films! So the 181 seat theater will give us an additional venue to schedule events starting in 2013!

This is being run by a Christian group in Cary so we will not see a lot of what you might expect in (real) independent theatre.

This theater is owned and will be operated by the Town of Cary and is a part of a plan to build a multi-use cultural facility with a focus on digital arts, including film and youth and amateur theater and music. There is no religious affiliation.
