CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: "IN-THE-WORKS" SESSION AT FULL FRAME

The Southern Documentary Fund (SDF) invites documentary filmmakers to
submit their works-in-progress to be screened at the Full Frame
Film Festival. Celebrating their fifth anniversary, SDF is honored to
partner with Full Frame to offer this exciting opportunity to North
This year, Full Frame will take place from April 12 to 15. The
"In-the-Works" program is on Sunday, April 15, from 3:45-6 p.m. The
"In-the-Works" session offers filmmakers the opportunity to receive a
and honest critique from a dedicated assembly of their peers and serious

Works-in-Progress (presented by SDF and the Center for Documentary
at Duke University)presents audiences with a unique opportunity to see
documentaries at different stages of production; viewers are encouraged

There are no length requirements for submission, though "In the Works"
generally geared toward feature length projects. A committee of SDF
members and invited filmmakers will choose one to two projects to
this session. The committee may choose to screen the entire work or a

SUBMISSIONS MUST COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
* Must be made by North Carolina filmmakers
* Must be in the final stages of completion
* Must be a documentary (please contact SDF with any questions about
appropriateness of your project).
* Filmmakers must be agree to be present at the Full Frame event
*Please submit a VHS or DVD copy
* Submissions must include contact information and a short description

The Southern Documentary Fund
In 2002, a collective of North Carolina-based media artists and their
supporters came together to create The Southern Documentary Fund. The
Southern Documentary Fund (SDF) encourages documentary media projects
within or about the American South. We are an organization that
believes that the stories of the American South have national and
international significance, and that the documentary artists living in
region deserve support and recognition.
In the past five years, almost 50 documentary projects have received
fiscal sponsorship through SDF. The work of SDF artists has been
nationally and internationally, screened at hundreds of festivals around
world, and is being used as effective tools for education and community
