Welcome to a circle for women who are interested in entering a space held by women and for women as a venue to share and listen to stories and experiences within a sacred context. The Talking Circle is a place for adult women to share personal feelings, experiences, and thoughts on any topic - without judgment or interruption.
By allowing people to freely express themselves in the Sacred Space of the Circle, it empowers them by finding their voice, feeling heard, and supported.
As we tell our stories we learn from one another--we find strength, hope, and the sense of acceptance that comes from recognizing and honoring what we have in common as well as our individual strengths and gifts.
We will begin the talking circle with a brief introduction to circle practices. Then we will pass the talking stick and each woman will have the opportunity to share whatever wants to be shared. If you would rather just listen, you can pass on your turn or wait until the talking stick comes around again. Circle sharing is confidential and the focus is on telling what needs to be told and holding sacred space for one another. Common themes may emerge. This circle is designed to be a place to offer our experiences--not so that we problem solve or analyze but as a way to open ourselves and speak from the heart--thus we allow for our own unique form of expression and we make room for the expression of our sisters as we give our attention to one another.
Please bring a snack or beverage to share with the group.
This circle is offered by spirit guided donation (ask within for an appropriate amount) to help support the Institute for the Shamanic Arts.
