DAY OUT OF TIME- Drum Circle and "Time is Art" Celebration

July 25 is called The Day Out of Time based on the Tzolkin of the Mayan Calendar.

The Day out of time is the culmination of the 13 Moon Calendar year, originated from the Mayan science of time. On July 25th, Sirius (the dog star) rises with the sun. This day is observed as a day free of time in the 13 Moon Calendar. It is a day of reverence and cultural appreciation for the concept 'Time is Art.' This 'free day' is the closing of a 13x28=364 day year. The Day Out of Time re-aligns the 13 Moon calendar to the solar year and re-aligns humanity into renewed appreciation for our inherent divinity and connection to nature.   day of reverence and respect for all life, a dedication to the beauty of eternal time, and an outreach of cultural and community exchange and education relative to the concept of natural time. In short, it iss a day to recognize unity and encourage awareness of the importance of our eternal time. It has been celebrated annually since 1992.

Join ISA for a Drum Circle and sharing of uplifting Art by the participants who choose to attend. You can bring (not required) an original poem or piece of visual art that you created so we can honor the artists within ourselves.  Bring your drum or rattle if you have one. We have rattles to share.   This circle is not an educational circle about the Mayan Calendar, it is a time to gather to make rhythm together and to honor the cosmic artists within us.  The next day the new year begins "Red Solar Moon"

It felt like we all stepped out of somewhere in time to spend a few moments before stepping back into our "time" and into our journey. We created a moment that was our collective time and the sharing was sweet.

I wish I could be there to share in the rhythm of this event with all who will gather, I will be holding a small ceremony myself to honor our fourlegged relatives on this day, may our drums be in sync, and our hearts beat as one!

even though you were not "here" tonight Brodrik,
a piece of your Art was.
      I saw your painting
(I've seen it the last few circles)
but it was in a different place tonight as part of the celebration. Happy Day out of Time!

It was an interesting day on its own.
I am so happy I decided to participate in tonight's circle with all of the heart opening sharing of art, words, drumming (& rattling) and beautiful singing. Thank you for sharing, celebrating and filling me up with positive energy.
I left feeling stronger, connected and at some point empowered.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
