WELCOME!

This training is designed by Quynn Elizabeth Red Mountain to assist you in honing your abilities in working with others, as well as honing your ability to listen to the worlds within and around. Whether or not you feel called to be a Shamanic Practitioner, you can use Shamanic Practitioning Techniques in your Healing Practice.

COME FULL CIRCLE! You have been on your healing path, and you feel called to help others. As you give back, you come Full Circle. This is a call to the "Remembering Ones", those who feel called to be a healing practitioner who uses the shamanic arts to assist others. This is a call to those who feel deep within them that they have been a 'healer' before.

The process of Remembering your sacred role and honing your gifts/abilites is an incredibly personal and intimate process. Quynn Red Mountain is a 'Remembering One'. She has remembered her role and adapted it for her community NOW. She formed the Institute for the Shamanic Arts in 1999 and began offering Practitioner Trainings in 2004.

This series is open to those who are drawn to the shamanic arts (shamanic journeying, soul recovery, divination), as well as those who want to combine shamanizing with other healing modalities (Including intuitive readings, energy work, storytelling, psychic work, empath, coach, body work, and combos of all). This training series shares the ISA way of Shamanizing, which is called “Full Circle Shamanizing” (see below for definition) .

Becoming a Healing Practitioner is about Learning, Listening, and Practice, Practice, Practice, so each meeting will create an opportunity to offer and receive individual and group sessions and healing experiences. During each session, the following eight areas of living a shamanic life will be approached, and each month in between, participants will practice:

1) Soul Healing and Activation for self and others
2) Shamanic Journey skills (traveling the worlds)
3) Sensing in the Dark
4) Divination
5) Nature and Spirit Communication
6) Rhythm/Movement/Trance skills
7) Gathering Allies between Dimensions/Layers of Reality
8) Mythmaker/Storyteller skills
(More information about these 8 areas of study will be given to those who commit to attending this series.)

*"Full Circle Shamanizing" is a term Quynn uses to describe those of us who are the first in our ancestral line to come back to shamanic/healing practice, after generations of forgetfulness/oppression. That which we call shamanism is actually a set of human tools, available to everyone, that helps to guide us in a living world. Included are the shamanic journey, trance, divination, dreams, intuition and dialog with "Nature". There are many varieties and faces of these practices, yet similar threads run through cultures of The Human People. Instead of the teachings being handed down to us by our living elders, we are taught by the guides and ancestors through our dreaming/shamanic mind. This is how Quynn has been instructed to shamanize.

As your practice grows, you will learn to understand:

*What your Guides want from you

*How to live in the world with your abilities “open” and how to stay protected

*How to carve out a niche for your services, and how to let people know what you do and what you have to offer

We will also cover:
*Ethics

*Ourstory (Past, Present Future of this path)

*Non-Congitive Skills

*Building a Lodge

Each session of the 5 part training begins 10am and will end at 4pm. Other instructions will come to those who sign up.

The cost for each session of this series is: $40-$80 sliding scale

It is expected that this series is taken as a whole, and so participation in all sessions is expected. Please contact Quynn if you are interested, but cannot attend a session.

Since every Healing Practitioner Training is unique and customized to each participant, this series is also helpful to those who have participated in a previous Training with Quynn and are ready to go deeper.

Testimonials from past participants:
Quynn’s drum sang astonishing harmonies that supported my amazing, insightful, and playful journeys. I now feel much more competent to journey on my own whenever I need Spirit guidance, very welcome and supported in my personal "shamanalandia ." I highly recommend this class/ experience to all new journeyers, and to other journeyers who, like me, never became truly familiar with their personal spirit world.”

"Last year’s ISA’s practitioner training with Quynn gave me a tremendous amount of guidance, and many new opportunities have arisen this year because of this experience. Recently, I co-facilitated a three-day retreat in nature. We held sacred space for participants through the entire retreat (including a variety of shamanic journey circles, nature meditations, facilitated discussions, and meditations). While I came to ISA with a background in managing
retreats and leading outdoor activities and meditations, holding sacred space for such an extended period of time was a very new experience for me. I feel such a great and happy debt of gratitude to ISA’s practitioner training for my ability now to so confidently guide
others with words, drum, and sacred presence. I feel that I benefited from the practical aspects and practice opportunities of ISA’s practitioner training, and also from the encouragement—and nudging!—both seen and unseen that was offered (and received). Also, I feel so happy and inspired to continue developing in this work, and I highly recommend ISA’s practitioner training and the work of Quynn to others. May many benefit!"
Alyson Greene, director of Sacred Nature Retreats

"Thank you for creating the space for me/us to PRACTICE..... I know that I wouldn't be practicing on people without your encouragement and you having this class.” Julianne MPH, CCT, CYT

“Quynn, as always, conjures an outstanding circle. The energy channeled through her drumming touches people, myself included, and provides safety that is heard and felt in all the connected worlds.”  Stephen in Tucson

"I learned much by simply observing and experiencing Quynn’s very skilled shamanic circle facilitation during the training. She demonstrates a certain fearlessness that cuts through, as well as her own deep honesty and presence—all of which makes her highly effective as a facilitator and trainer." Alyson G.
