write a poem honoring someone who impacted you that has passed away

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that my grandmother Barbara K Shore, who was part of our poetry group has passed away. While most of you knew her simply as my grandmother, she was much more than that.  In her almost 93 years she accomplished a great deal . In a time when women were told to be silent and passive she spoke her mind, and stood up for what she beleived in. Here is a link to her obituary. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/postgazette/obituary.aspx?n=barbara-k-shore&pid=167692220&fhid=4365

This was a powerful gathering of supportive people who shared painful losses and gained insight into the meaning of death and tragedy. I felt honored to have been a part of this amazing group.

This meeting was sad but very meaningful and it is nice to get to know other people who are going through similar things, universal things and how we can all benefit from each other and support each other as we go through this journey here on Earth and then wherever God takes us next - being with other writers, other wonderful people is like Iron sharping Iron!
