Early morning Tumamock!

I love early morning hikes! This is how I start most Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Hiking up it is usually dark but when you get to the top the sun is coming up over the mountains and the view is breathtaking and it makes the hike worth getting out of bed early! Lets get it in before work and start the day off right.

This is a short but difficult 3.1 mile (RT) conditioning climb (730 ft gain) up Tumamoc Hill. Usually takes about an hour (depending on your hiking speed) to get to the top and back down. I usually wait at the top for 10 minutes and then start heading back down so I can get to work on time.

Bring at least a liter of water, flashlight and a rain jacket (if needed). I'll be going at a medium pace but I always recommend everyone to go at there own pace and we can meet at the top.

I'll wait about 5 mins then head up so please come a little earlier.

Everyone has to be off the hill by 7:30 AM so if you cannot make to the top and down by that time you can always turn around at the half way mark.

I love to get my hike in before work! It helps me stay calm and collected through out the day :) I will try to post this one as often as I can.
