Hutch's Pool

Hutch’s Pool

Hutch's Pool is a year round pool that is always deep enough to swim in with a nice beach.

We will meet at the Sabino Canyon Visitor center at 8:30 am and take the tram to bus stop 9 and hike 4 miles to Hutch's Pool. If you plan to walk the 16 miles I suggest giving yourself plenty of time to get to bus stop 9 by 9:25 am.  The first tram leaves at 9:00 am and arrives at bus stop 9 approx. 9:25 am

Distance: Approx. 8.2 Miles via Sabino Canyon Tram ($8.00) or 16.4 miles via walking from the visitor center. This is an out and back.

Elevation Gain: Approx. 600 ft.

Rating: C – C+ Intermediate; There are steep switch backs staring at bus stop 9 to Sabino Canyon Trail Head but from there it is a fairly level hike and easy hiking.

Hiking time; approx. 4 Hours ± .5 hour

Please state in your RSVP if you intend to walk the 16 miles.

No Dogs Please

Where can I find a map of the Douglas Spring Trail system....like the map posted at the Trailhead?

    March 31, 2013

    • Paul Y.

Sarah, Green Trails Maps (Saguaro Map 2910S) covers that area pretty well. Buy the Green Trail Map at Sabino Canyon Visitor Center or Saguaro National Park East or West. Buying the map at National parks means you do not have to pay 9% sales tax. Think the maps are $10 or $12

Maureen I will be taking the Tram up and back as well - let's coordinate - I think first tram is at 8am this will make it a 8.8 to a 9.2 mile day. Paul are you okay with this. Thanks Mike

1st tram leaves @ 9:00 am and gets to bus stop 9 approx 9:25 am. Fee for the tram is $8 and they only take cash. The last tram leaves @ 4:30 and takes approx 20 minutes to get to bus stop 9. We should be back to bus stop 9 around 2:30.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
