Join me for an awesome day trip to Arizona's best kept secret: Chiricahua National Monument. We'll be doing the 8 mile loop, taking in Inspiration Point and Heart of the Rocks.
Things to see:
- Hoodoos: these bizarre rock formations all huddled together covered with bright lichens
- Wildlife: coati, wild turkeys, and more varieties of rattlesnakes than you can imagine!
- Other cool rock formations like the Big Balanced Rock
We'll be leaving early and car-pooling from Glenn and N Campbell by Five Guys and Albertsons. We will be leaving at 7:00am and meeting at the Echo Canyon trailhead. This is an all day event. It takes a little more than 2 hours to drive to the Chiricahuas.
- At least 3 or 4 liters of water
- Lunch and snacks
- Sun protection
This is not a beginner hike. It's 8 miles with lots of up and down. Please be an experienced hiker or in excellent physical condition.
If you are willing to drive, please indicate so in your RSVP.
