night hike - tucson mtns

Hello all,

It is time for a short night hike.

We will start a bit before sunset (yes it will be hot!), relax briefly on a small peak and finish when it is completely dark. You must bring a flashlight or headlamp.

Please be aware that we may run into snakes or other dangerous creatures.

Make sure you bring sufficient water and please carpool to the trailhead if possible. I will be coming from the opposite direction from most of you.

The hike will probably only about be 3.5 miles with a climb that is less than 500 feet.

If you do not know where the trailhead is, you basically follow Camino de-Oeste South as far as the road goes from its intersection with Speedway/Gates Pass Road.

If you have any questions, please call me at 906-2436. I probably will not notice any comments on the meet up site.

Cheers,

Hi, Had to drop out for this evening - but hope to join next time. Drew, does the attached map really reflect where you want the group to meet?

Hi Drew: How about some more hikes on this side of the Tucson Mountains? Since Mike Briedling left, we've been orphaned on the SW side of town. I signed up for Sun night, on the wait list, so hope I get to go.
